Pupils from local primary and secondary schools enjoyed trying out a range of different sports at the recent Crymych Sports Club Community Open Morning. 
 
Children enjoyed taster sessions of rugby as well as other sportsThe event at Crymych Leisure Centre gave locally-based clubs the opportunity to showcase their activities in a bid to develop interest, and encourage children between the ages of six and 16 to sign up.
 
Children enjoyed taster sessions in a wide range of sports including rugby, cricket, netball, golf, dance, karate and tennis.  
 
The event also provided an opportunity for parents to meet the coaches and find out more about their clubs.
 
The event was organised by Sport Pembrokeshire, Pembrokeshire County Council’s sport development section.
 
Elgan Vittle, Active Young People Community Officer, said the support from the local community was great.
 
 “The event was a fantastic opportunity for young people and their families to come along and see the variety of sports on offer."
